A professional cleaning removes what brushing cannot. AIRFLOW® makes the experience genuinely comfortable.
Even a careful brusher misses the same small places every day. Over time, those places are where plaque hardens, gums become inflamed, and problems begin quietly. A professional cleaning at B Dental Studio clears away that buildup and gives your teeth and gums a true fresh start.
Dr. Bella Beck and her team pair modern AIRFLOW® technology with warm, unhurried care, so the cleanest your mouth has felt in years can also be one of the calmest visits you have had.
Comfort and clean are not opposites here.
Every day, a soft film of bacteria called plaque forms on your teeth. It is the fuzzy feeling you notice before brushing. Brushing and flossing remove most of it, but almost never all of it, and the spots you miss tend to be the same spots every day.
When plaque stays in place, minerals in your saliva harden it into tartar. Tartar is like a shell: it protects the bacteria living underneath it, irritates the gums, and cannot be brushed away no matter how well you brush. At that point, only a professional cleaning can remove it.
A cleaning is not a luxury version of brushing. It is the part of oral care that home care cannot do.
This is the idea behind AIRFLOW®: a controlled stream of air, warm water, and a fine powder gently lifts the soft buildup off the tooth, without the scraping feeling many patients dislike most.
Press on the tooth and move across it to clean it yourself. On a phone, use your finger.
A simplified illustration for education. The real treatment is warmer, gentler, and much faster, and Dr. Beck will confirm which type of cleaning is appropriate for you.

Gum disease is usually quiet in its early stages. Here is how skipped cleanings tend to progress, and the encouraging part: caught early, much of this is fully reversible.
A soft film of bacteria collects along the gumline and between teeth. It is invisible, easy to remove, and easy to ignore.
Reversible at homeMinerals harden the plaque into tartar that brushing cannot remove. Gums may look slightly red or bleed when you floss.
Removed professionallyThe gums stay inflamed: tender, puffy, and quick to bleed. Breath changes. In most cases there is still no pain.
Reversible with careInflammation moves below the gumline and can begin to affect the bone that holds your teeth. This stage can be managed, but not fully reversed.
Act before this stageTimelines vary from person to person, and an examination is the only way to know where your gums actually stand. Individual results may vary.
AIRFLOW® replaces much of the traditional scraping with a precise stream of air, warm water, and a very fine powder. It sweeps away biofilm and many surface stains, including the places instruments struggle to reach.
Many patients find AIRFLOW® more comfortable than a traditional cleaning. Hardened tartar may still call for classic instruments in specific areas, and Dr. Beck will explain exactly what your visit will include.

Clear answers, without pressure. If your question is not here, we are happy to talk it through at your visit.
Most patients find a routine cleaning comfortable. Sensitive teeth or inflamed gums can make it more noticeable, so tell us what you feel and we will adjust. Many patients also find AIRFLOW® gentler than traditional scraping, because it cleans with air, warm water, and fine powder.
Twice a year is a common starting point, but the right interval depends on your gum health, your history, and your individual risk factors. After your examination, we will recommend a rhythm that fits your mouth rather than a calendar.
AIRFLOW® uses a very fine powder that is designed to be gentle on enamel and on dental work such as veneers, implants, and aligners. Dr. Beck will evaluate your teeth and confirm whether it is appropriate for you.
Surface stains from coffee, tea, and wine often improve noticeably after a professional cleaning, especially with AIRFLOW®. Deeper discoloration inside the tooth may call for whitening instead, and we will tell you honestly which is which before anything is planned.
Please do not wait. Bleeding is usually a sign of inflammation, and it tends to improve after the buildup causing it is removed and home care is adjusted. It is a reason to come in sooner, not later.
You will not hear a lecture from us. We start with an examination, explain what we see, and recommend the type of cleaning your mouth actually needs. Some patients need periodontal care rather than a standard cleaning, and knowing that early is a gift.
Whether it has been six months or six years, the next step is the same: a calm visit, an honest look, and a cleaning matched to what your mouth actually needs.
We will make it comfortable. You will leave wondering why you waited.
