B Dental Studio Treatments General and Preventive Dentistry Boynton Beach, Florida

Protect What Is Healthy. Notice What Is Changing.

The most conservative dentistry begins before a tooth breaks, hurts, or requires extensive treatment.

At B Dental Studio, preventive care is not treated as a routine checklist. Every examination, cleaning, image, and conversation is an opportunity to understand your oral health, identify meaningful changes, and protect the natural teeth you already have.

Dr. Bella Beck and her team provide thoughtful preventive care for new and existing patients in a calm, comfortable environment where you are encouraged to ask questions and understand what we see.

The Idea

Notice it early. Keep it simple.

New and Existing Patients Scroll Eight Ways We Protect
Prevention Is Part of Preservation

Small Changes Can Tell Us Something Important

Regular preventive visits help us monitor these changes before they become more complicated. Tap a spot on the tooth to see what can happen quietly.

A cavity may develop without pain.

Decay between teeth or beneath the surface can grow for a long time before anything feels wrong. An examination and, when appropriate, digital X-rays can show it while it is still small.

Small now is easier than large later

Gum inflammation may progress quietly.

Bleeding when you brush is easy to dismiss. Left alone, inflammation can move below the gumline and affect the bone that holds the teeth. Measuring the gums at each visit catches the trend.

Healthy gums support everything above them

A hairline fracture can become a larger structural problem.

Grinding, clenching, and bite forces can open a crack that is invisible to you. Noticing it early keeps the repair conservative instead of extensive.

Preserve the tooth before it breaks

A restoration that once fit may wear, leak, or loosen.

Fillings, crowns, bonding, and veneers age. Checking their edges and fit at every visit protects the tooth underneath and the work you have already invested in.

Maintaining existing dental work

01
New Patient Exam and Digital X-Rays

A Complete Understanding of Your Oral Health

Your first visit is the foundation of your care at B Dental Studio.

We begin by listening to your concerns, dental history, past experiences, current symptoms, and goals. Dr. Bella then completes a comprehensive evaluation of your teeth, gums, bite, existing dental work, and surrounding oral tissues.

Your new-patient evaluation may include

  • Review of your dental and medical history
  • Discussion of current concerns or symptoms
  • Evaluation of each tooth
  • Assessment of existing fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers, or implants
  • Gum and periodontal evaluation
  • Bite and tooth-wear assessment
  • Evaluation of jaw comfort and function
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Digital X-rays when clinically appropriate
  • Additional photographs or imaging when needed
  • Discussion of findings and treatment options

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays help identify conditions that may not be visible during a clinical examination, including decay between teeth, changes around tooth roots, bone loss, infection, impacted teeth, and problems beneath existing dental work.

The type and frequency of imaging are selected according to your dental history, age, symptoms, clinical findings, and individual risk factors. X-rays are not automatically taken simply because a certain amount of time has passed.

02
Dental Cleanings

Professional Care for a Clean, Healthy Smile

Even with excellent brushing and flossing, plaque and hardened buildup can remain in areas that are difficult to clean at home.

Professional dental cleanings help maintain the health of the teeth and gums while allowing the team to monitor changes between examinations.

A preventive cleaning may include

  • Evaluation of plaque and buildup
  • Removal of calculus and surface deposits
  • Cleaning between the teeth and along the gumline
  • Polishing when appropriate
  • Personalized home-care guidance
  • Recommendations based on your gum health and risk factors
Not every patient requires the same type of cleaning. If signs of periodontal disease are present, a routine preventive cleaning may not be sufficient. We will explain what we see and recommend the appropriate level of care.
03
AIRFLOW® Guided Biofilm Therapy

A Modern, Gentle Approach to Biofilm and Stain Removal

Dental biofilm is the organized layer of microorganisms that forms on teeth, restorations, and oral surfaces. When it is not effectively controlled, it can contribute to tooth decay and gum inflammation.

AIRFLOW® Guided Biofilm Therapy is a systematic approach to identifying and removing biofilm, soft deposits, and selected surface stains.

Depending on your individual needs, the process may include

01Assessment of the teeth and gums

AIRFLOW® may be especially helpful for cleaning around

  • Natural teeth
  • Dental implants
  • Crowns, bridges, and veneers
  • Bonding and other restorations
  • Orthodontic appliances
  • Areas affected by visible surface staining
Many patients find the experience gentler and more comfortable than traditional polishing methods. The appropriate cleaning technique is still selected according to your oral health and clinical needs.
04
Gum Health and Periodontal Care

Healthy Gums Support Everything Above Them

The gums and supporting bone form the foundation around the teeth. When these tissues become inflamed or infected, the condition can progress without significant discomfort.

Signs that your gums may need attention include

  • Bleeding during brushing or flossing
  • Red, swollen, or tender gums
  • Persistent bad breath
  • Gum recession
  • Teeth that appear longer
  • Sensitivity near the gumline
  • Changes in tooth position
  • Loose teeth
  • Changes around dental implants
  • A history of periodontal disease

Your periodontal evaluation may include

  1. Measurement of the spaces around the teeth
  2. Evaluation of bleeding and inflammation
  3. Assessment of gum recession
  4. Review of bone levels on appropriate X-rays
  5. Evaluation of plaque, calculus, and risk factors
  6. Discussion of home care and maintenance needs

Depending on the findings, recommendations may include

  • Improved home-care techniques
  • Routine preventive cleaning
  • More frequent professional maintenance
  • Deep cleaning, also known as scaling and root planing
  • Monitoring of specific areas
  • Referral to a periodontist when specialized care is appropriate
Periodontal treatment is individualized. A routine cleaning and periodontal therapy are not interchangeable, and the correct service can only be determined after evaluating the gums and supporting structures.
05
Dental Sealants

Additional Protection for Vulnerable Tooth Surfaces

The chewing surfaces of back teeth contain natural grooves and depressions where food particles and plaque can collect.

A dental sealant is a thin protective material placed over selected grooves to make these areas easier to keep clean and reduce their exposure to cavity-causing factors.

Sealants may be considered for

  • Children with newly erupted permanent molars
  • Teenagers with cavity-prone tooth anatomy
  • Adults with deep grooves and appropriate tooth surfaces
  • Patients with an elevated risk of decay
  • Teeth that are difficult to clean effectively
Sealants do not replace brushing, flossing, fluoride exposure, professional cleanings, or regular examinations. They provide an additional layer of protection for appropriate teeth.

Dr. Bella evaluates each tooth before recommending a sealant. Teeth with existing decay, restorations, or other structural concerns may require a different approach.

06
Nightguards

Protection From Grinding and Clenching

Grinding and clenching can place significant pressure on natural teeth, dental restorations, implants, and the jaw.

Some people are aware that they grind their teeth. Others notice only the effects.

Possible signs include

  • Worn or flattened tooth edges
  • Repeatedly chipped teeth or bonding
  • Cracks or fractures
  • Jaw tightness or fatigue
  • Morning headaches
  • Tooth sensitivity
  • Damage to crowns or restorations
  • A partner hearing grinding during sleep

A custom nightguard is designed from records of your mouth to fit over the teeth and help protect them from excessive forces.

Before recommending a nightguard, Dr. Bella evaluates the teeth, restorations, bite, symptoms, and possible causes of wear. A nightguard protects against certain forces but does not treat every source of jaw pain, headaches, or sleep-related concerns.
07
Oral Cancer Screening

A Careful Examination of the Mouth and Surrounding Tissues

An oral cancer screening is a visual and clinical examination intended to identify unusual changes that may require additional evaluation.

Dr. Bella may examine

  • The lips
  • Cheeks
  • Tongue
  • Gums
  • Roof and floor of the mouth
  • Throat and surrounding oral tissues
  • Jaw and neck areas when appropriate

Changes that deserve professional evaluation may include

  • A sore that does not heal
  • A red, white, or unusually colored area
  • A lump, thickened area, or persistent swelling
  • Unexplained bleeding
  • Persistent hoarseness
  • Difficulty chewing or swallowing
  • Ongoing numbness or discomfort
  • A change that remains present or worsens

Most unusual findings are not necessarily cancer. However, anything persistent, unexplained, or concerning should be evaluated.

Screening cannot diagnose cancer by itself. If Dr. Bella identifies an area of concern, she may recommend monitoring, additional evaluation, or referral to an appropriate specialist.
08
Existing Patient Follow-Up

Continued Care Based on What We Already Know About You

Follow-up appointments allow us to monitor healing, evaluate previous treatment, review symptoms, and make sure your care is progressing as planned.

An existing-patient follow-up may be appropriate for

  • Reviewing a tooth or area being monitored
  • Evaluating healing after treatment
  • Checking a new restoration
  • Discussing persistent or changing symptoms
  • Monitoring gum health
  • Reviewing imaging or specialist findings
  • Adjusting a nightguard or removable appliance
  • Continuing a phased treatment plan
  • Discussing a treatment recommendation
  • Addressing a new concern between regular visits
When booking, tell us what has changed and whether you are experiencing pain, swelling, trauma, or another urgent concern. This helps the team schedule the appropriate type of appointment.

How Often Should I Visit?

There is no single schedule that is appropriate for every patient.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions we hear most often.

Clear answers, without pressure. If your question is not here, we are happy to talk it through at your visit.

That depends on the time reserved and the type of cleaning appropriate for your oral health. Some patients can receive a preventive cleaning during the same visit. Others may require a separate appointment or periodontal care after the examination.

No. The need for X-rays is based on your dental history, symptoms, clinical findings, previous images, and individual risk factors.

A preventive cleaning is intended for patients without active periodontal disease. Periodontal treatment addresses infection and buildup below the gumline and may require a different procedure and maintenance schedule.

Not necessarily. AIRFLOW® can remove biofilm and selected stains, but additional instruments may be needed for hardened deposits or specific clinical conditions.

No. Adults with appropriate tooth surfaces and an elevated risk of decay may also be considered for sealants.

A nightguard is primarily intended to help protect the teeth and restorations from grinding or clenching forces. It may not stop the underlying behavior.

No. Screening helps identify changes that may need further evaluation. A definitive diagnosis may require referral, additional testing, or a biopsy.

Contact us and describe what you are experiencing. Our team will help identify the appropriate starting appointment.
